The experience

The photographer will be one of your closest people on your wedding day. You can call me the third wheel, or maybe even better, your third maid of honour! I’ll show up early and stay by your side throughout the day – to capture the memories you remember, and the details you didn’t have the time to let sink in during the day.

It’s important for me to make you feel confident that we’re a good match before booking me. I want to be sure that the experience you have is exactly what you’ve dreamed of, and that you know what you’ll get when you invite me to be part of your journey. Booking a wedding photographer can be challenging. You might be working within a tight budget, you want to trust the photographer’s professionalism, and you want their style to match your vibe. See the information below to get an idea if we’re a good fit! Or even better, contact me, and we can have an informal chat.

FAQ 〰️

Do you travel?

Yes, I do! Although I’m based in Oslo, Norway, I’ve photographed weddings in both America and Asia, and I’m willing to travel almost anywhere for weddings. Travel fees are not included in my packages, so this will be calculated during our planning process.

How long have you been photographing?

I started my photography business in 2016 and have been taking pictures since I was 10 years old. I booked my first wedding when I was 20. I have a degree in photography and communication from Bilder Nordic School of Photography.

How many photos will we receive?
I usually provide an estimate where you will receive a minimum of 500/600 photos for 10/12 hours. More info on this on the pricing page.

Do you retouch photos?

I edit all my photos for style, mood, contrast, and tones, but I do not retouch wedding photos beyond removing temporary elements that wouldn’t normally be there. Weddings are real, and I follow a documentary style – not a beauty campaign for a makeup brand. I adhere to retouching ethics and will not retouch blemishes or skin imperfections.

How do we book you?

Send me an email or get in touch through the contact page, and I’ll be happy to start planning your day!

What should we wear for the engagement shoot?

If you book 10 or 12 hours with me, you’ll get the engagement shoot at 50% off. I encourage you to wear something minimalist and “clean” in color, tone, and patterns – unless you're interested in fashion and style and want to use a statement piece to set "your" tone.

When do you deliver the photos after a wedding?

For weddings, my turnaround time is a maximum of 12 weeks, though you’ll usually receive them sooner. Couples always get sneak peek photos before the full gallery is delivered.

How do we receive the photos?

I deliver your photos through an online gallery first, so you can experience your wedding day through a slideshow. Then, I will provide you with two WeTransfer links for you to download – one for web quality and one for print quality.

Can you help with the timeline?

I encourage you to create a digital timeline that we can follow on your day to ensure all the photos you want are planned for. This will help you map out your day and assist with the planning. You will also receive a wedding guide with tips on this after signing the wedding contract you'll receive upon booking.

Do you get fully booked quickly?

I’ll be taking fewer and more curated weddings in 2025 and 2026, so reach out today and I’ll add you to the waiting list for selected dates!

“We couldn’t be more pleased with our choice of wedding photographer! Mari was amazing at making us feel comfortable throughout the day and capturing every moment. She was also incredibly helpful during the planning phase before the wedding, and the service overall has been flawless!”
